Craig R. Stechman

Craig R. Stechman is the 2018 Airline Chair for the Air Carriers Purchasing Conference.  He is responsible for the recruitment of new airlines as Chair of the ACPC Airline Steering Committee along with selecting the charity recipient of the 2018 ACPC Gives Back.  Craig has been a long-time supporter of ACPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility program to give back to the ACPC host city communities.   In addition, he has put together an impressive airline recruiting team consisting of purchasing leaders from JetBlue, Delta and United Airlines to support his efforts.  This will be Craig’s third term in this important leadership role, having been Airline Chair in Detroit 2010 and New York in 2015.

As leader of the DHL Network Operations Procurement/Logistics Team, Craig is responsible for all aspects of the procurement cycle, as well as logistics management for the DHL Aviation Group located in Miami, Florida and responsible for supporting Latin American material requirements.   Craig has the added responsibility to supply material and logistical support for several DHL Global projects, most recently the B757 fleet renewal project and the launch and introduction of  the A330 freighter conversion project for DHL.

Prior to joining DHL, Craig held various aviation leadership positions, including, Inventory and Purchasing Management roles at Hermetic Aircraft, a repair and distribution services company to the North American aviation aftermarket, Rotables Manager at Cosgrove Aircraft Service, a trusted name for quality aircraft parts and services and Warranty Administration and Material Control positions at Dassault Falcon Jet, a recognized global brand for Dassault business jets. These progressively varied leadership roles provide Craig a unique perspective and insight into the aviation industry and its multi-faceted disciplines.

Craig received his Bachelor of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aviation Management.  It was his academic background that set the stage for his leadership skills with active involvement in the school’s Student Government Association as well as various other organizations on campus. His accomplishments earned him a nomination and selection into Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

The ACPC is the most productive aviation conference worldwide.
